Account Development Representative

We currently have an opening for an Account Development Representative.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Sell MDR’s full product line to accounts of less than $5,000 primarily through telephone selling. Manage an existing list of accounts and utilize consultative selling skills to get them to grow. Prospect to non-customers in the geographic territory. When appropriate identify high potential ($5,000+) accounts that should be passed to the Field Sales organization. Annual revenue accountability is $600,000.
  • Report on activities within the territory through a monthly report and ongoing communications with management. Keep management apprised of industry trends, competitive activities, unfulfilled customer needs, etc.
  • Service customers through timely and accurate processing of orders through OMS and other MDR internal systems. Assist customers with billing issues and problems. Maintain superior product and industry knowledge and anticipate and respond to customer needs.

Job Requirements:

  • Prior sales or customer service experience and/or knowledge of education market and direct marketing is important.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent PC skills required—working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-Mail, Internet, Intranet, etc.
  • College degree. Knowledge of MDR products is a plus.
